Rufus Reid plays with CNY Jazz

Jazz Renaissance man Rufus Reid performs Friday with the members of the CNY Jazz Orchestra.

Reid is a musician, author, composer and educator. He has won many awards in the jazz world, including the Mellon Jazz Living Legacy Award and the Charlie Parker Jazz Composition Award.

He plans to perform his work "Linear Surroundings," along with many others at the concert in the Carrier Theater.
